Operate

Production continues the engineering work.

When the team that builds the system also owns releases, observability and incidents, problems are resolved instead of passed along.

A system meets its real load in production. We do not end engineering at delivery; observability, incident response, capacity planning and release management remain under the same responsibility.

For the user, the result is simple: no time is lost finding the right supplier. The team that understands the operation and can change the code is already engaged.

Observe
System health, error signals and visibility into critical workflows.
Respond
Classify the incident, contain its impact and implement a permanent correction.
Release
Plan change, deploy it in a controlled way and verify production afterwards.
Capacity
Address bottlenecks before usage and data growth turn them into incidents.

Response time, availability targets and on-call coverage are defined separately for each system in its operating agreement.
